Bath Half Marathon
Sunday 7th March 2010
A warm welcome to the 2010 Bath Half Marathon
The Bath Half Marathon is one of the longest established and most popular city centre road events in the UK. It is also one of the largest charity fundraisers in the South West, raising over £1.2 million for charity last year alone. The course itself is fast and flat making it suitable for all abilities – for beginners whose key objective is to complete the course, to more regular long-distance event runners, looking to beat their personal best time. It covers a two lap 13.1 mile (21.1km) traffic free course straddling both sides of the River Avon. The race starts and finishes in Great Pulteney Street, in the heart of the World Heritage City of Bath
We are very proud of the event's reputation for its wonderful atmosphere, fast flat course and of course fantastic location. In fact, The Daily Telegraph voted The Bath Half '3rd Best Running Event' in their Top 10 Big Runs
Whether you're a runner, spectator or resident, you're in the right place to find out more about our events, including the Bath Half Marathon, Corporate Challenge & Bath Half Family Fun Run; as well as our race Charities, Sponsors, training services and medical advice

Runner Support
In the course of the build up to race day, we will bring you all the essential training schedules and tips, medical advice, community links, and athlete interviews, which we hope will prove informative and fun.
Once entries have opened have a look at the 'Am I In' section - a quick and easy way for you to check your entry for the 2010 race. We have also teamed up with RealBuzz for some great forums and an Interactive Route Planner; and have introduced a dedicated section on Local Athletic Clubs and Training Groups. We are also delighted to welcome on board our Bath Half 2010 blogger, Paul Wiltshire who will be keeping you up to date with 'all things Bath Half related' and his training progress, up to the big day itself; and last but not least, we will have also published our very own training tips specifically for The Bath Half. So watch this space!
In response to runner feedback we will also be creating an area specifically for those First Timers amongst you. So if this is your first half marathon, don't worry, you're in the right place for all the tips and support you'll need to have a really great race day experience. This section will include specific Training Tips, FAQs, Local Training Groups, buddy groups and a handy Interactive Training Route Planner.
You can also subscribe to, or download our Bath Half Newsletter which will keep you informed of key dates, sponsor's promotions and other relevant information on the event.
Last but not least, the Bath Half Marathon has got together with the other leading UK road races and triathlons (including experts from the London Marathon and Great North Run) to produce a comprehensive on-line medical and nutritional guide for all distance runners. Its well worth a look and will really help you have a stress and injury free preparation and race day. Click on the logo to access the Runners Medical Resource Centre.
