THE PA MEMORIAL SEVENS TOURNAMENT
This year we were again pleased to attend the excellent and well run PA Memorial Sevens Tournament again held at Keynsham Rugby Football Club on Saturday 3rd May 2008. All proceeds from this event will be donated to Trust PA to help fund the clinical trials for the repair of spinal cord injury paralysis. We are very grateful to Simon Postlethwaite who did another splendid job of organising and running this first class event for us, many thanks Simon. Our thanks also go to the officials of KRFC for allowing this event to be staged at their club and to everyone who attended. Thanks to the referees who gave their time and expertise to keep everyone in order throughout the tournament, well done. Thanks to all the teams who came and made the event an exciting and tough competition of skill and fitness which we all enjoyed. We were pleased to see many families and friends of the club and teams supporting the day, thank you all. We have some shots from the event on view for you to look at
see our event gallery: The organiser Simon is a fellow rugby player friend of PA's and did as always did an excellent job for us. We were pleased to have had 10 teams competing for the Memorial Plate and Cup and every winning team member recieved a personal medal in recognition of their success. The winning team for the Cup was Cleeve and the runners up were Old Reds One The Plate winners were Old Reds Two and runners up Newport HS Old Boys congratulations for your well deserved success. There was a wonderful family party atmosphere and plenty of interest for the whole family including BBQ, bar, music and entertainment with disco into the evening which was enjoyed by all. Many thanks to Simon and everyone who helped to run the event.
